Patch Information
As the Eternal Riders start yet another year of our motorcycle ministry, we have been in much prayer about wearing a patch. As we set out to create a design, we knew all to well the ramifications and the responsibilities of wearing a patch. So as we moved cautiously and prayerfully, God guided us in the direction of the other bike ministries. After studying other patch designs and how other ministries approached this issue, we felt God had laid on our hearts the Christian Flag with our small support patch sewn into the lower right corner. Other bike ministries were already doing this and we believed in the thought process behind their decision.When you look at our patch you see first and foremost the Christian flag, then you see in the lower right corner our small Eternal Riders support patch.
We fully realized that we were not riding for the patch
but we were and are riding for the Son and we want to be known as Christians
first, then our ministry affiliation.
John 3:30, He must increase, but I must decrease.
Let the Christian flag be known and honored for what it truly is. Let it be correctly displayed with boldness and pride. Let its colors, Cross and symbolism lift high the name which is forever above every name, the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Meaning of the Colors (Christian
Flag):
White: Purity and Peace;
Blue: Faith and Truth;
Red: Blood of Jesus Christ and Love
Meaning of the Colors (Eternal
Riders Support Patch):
Black (background): Sin
Red (lettering): As in the Christian flag, the blood shed on the cross
by Jesus Christ to wash away our sins.
Gold (shield of faith): The victory and power we have in Jesus Christ
our Lord.
May God always have the glory in everything we do as individuals and as a ministry team. It is not about us and how we are perceived; it is about our Lord and our Savior, King Jesus Christ.
God be the glory!
*We want to recognize the Heavens Saints Motorcycle Ministry and the Rugged Cross Riders Motorcycle Ministry as pioneers in this area. They are some of our heroes in the faith.
